Young QB makes First NFL Start for Houston Texans

Davis Mills, the 22-year-old Georgia native and former Stanford quarterback, made his first NFL start for the Houston Texans on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

Rising Star in Houston

Mills, who was drafted by the Texans in 2021, has impressed during his time in Houston, completing 66.8% of his passes for 2,664 yards in his rookie season. He set a Texans franchise rookie record for passing yards, surpassing the previous mark set by Deshaun Watson.

High School Standout

Before his time in college and the NFL, Mills was a highly touted recruit coming out of high school. He was a five-star recruit who signed with Stanford University. During his high school career, Mills threw for 8,351 yards and 95 touchdowns.
