Sonoma State University Welcomes New President Ming-Tung Mike Lee
Chancellor's Appointment
Sonoma State University has appointed Ming-Tung Mike Lee as its new president. The appointment was made by Chancellor Mildred García and approved by the California State University Board of Trustees.
Interim Role
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Lee served as interim president of Sonoma State since August 2022. In this role, he played a crucial leadership role during a period of transition.

Dr. Lee brings a wealth of higher education experience to the presidency. He has served in various faculty and administration roles throughout his 28-year career at Sacramento State University. This includes experience as a professor, department chair, and dean.
