Veteran forward Corey Perry has signed a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the team announced on Monday. The deal is worth $775,000 and includes a $775,000 signing bonus.

Perry, 35, is a three-time Stanley Cup champion and a former Hart Trophy winner. He spent the past two seasons with the Montreal Canadiens, where he had 21 goals and 46 points in 103 games.

The Lightning are hoping that Perry can provide some secondary scoring and leadership to a team that is looking to win its third consecutive Stanley Cup.

Perry is expected to play on the Lightning's third line alongside Brayden Point and Ondrej Palat.
